hi, i use Version 2.52(full) so my comments relate to that version only. i have no knowledge of newer versions but have heard problems exist. all data is written as ordinary .txt files, as used by 'Notepad' and they are stored in the 'Lyric Pad' folder. It is as simple as that. If probs continue i would save all .txt files somewhere else and uninstall/reinstall Lyric Pad. Then move your .txt files to the aforementioned folder. i hope this helps x

hi, I'm afraid that you are in for some typing but once it's done it's done forever. If you look in the LyricPad folder (once you have your tablet, any cheap tablet should do, there isn't much cpu load,) you will find three .txt documents in the 'Lyrics' sub folder. These .txt documents are the staple of LyricPad. They are easily constructed using the "Text Document' utility so using the existing ones as a template create your own and save them all in that folder. There are text reading programs but my advice would be to bite the bullet and get typing. That way you can drop in the chords where you need them etc etc. Hope you are succesful. JG

Hi, Yes and yes 😀 The program uses .txt documents which are pretty much universal and can be easily created from .docs. You just add them to the 'Lyrics' folder. There are some small learning curves mostly to do with scrolling speed but nothing too hard. I strongly suggest getting the Mk2 version and not the newest one, he may have gone too far 😄 Good luck. www.jogrn.com

All my word docs lyrics have chords just above the lyrics will these scan over as well.

I broke the second 'Eleven' bringing it gradually up to 'relative' G#..which was a whole tone high from just re-tuning by ear without an absolute pitch for reference (I forgot about that issue when I broke strings back when living in caves); fortunately, I found an old .011 I changed and saved. And it worked! Now I have to order some new .011's, umm..where is oil applied? Thanks, chris..doing The Gremmie!

@@scrunchymacscruff1244 oil wherever friction is likely to occur, most importantly on the roller and nut, the underside where the arms move and around the foot pedals. If it moves lubricate it is a good rule of thumb. It really improves both ease of playing and staying in tune. 😎

Hi It seems to me that you are doing everything right, as far as my limited knowledge can tell. I only use the basic functions. I would advise fiddling about with it a bit more and maybe consulting the manual (it may not be in recognizable English 😄) Maybe try to contact the maker or some keyboard groups. Go to the 'Lyric Pad' folder, open the 'Lyrics' folder. In there are all your songs saved as .txt files. (As used by Notepad). Double click the song you want to edit and go mad 😄

Hi, Go to /Manage Lyrics/ Edit Lyrics then open the song you wish to change. Hit the /Key/ button and raise or lower as required. It will alter any chords it finds. Then /SAVE /! Alternatively open the Lyric in 'Notepad' and do it manually. 😄

Hi The song files are all individual .txt files, as used in Windows Notepad. You can use Notepad to make your own. They are stored in a folder called 'Lyrics' in the Lyric Pad folder. There is one there for Set Lists too which you will probably find useful.

I don't think you need one. I run mine on three ! You just have to copy all the songs to the new device.

The method of adding songs simply involves creating a .txt file for each song and adding it to the Lyric Pad folder. Therefore you can write anything you want.

Sadly, finger (and thumb) picks are pretty much essential for accuracy and volume. Equally sadly they require much getting used to which means practice 😳 I was 'lucky' in that I play acoustic Dobro live quite a lot and was, therefore, forced into using them. Like everything PSG related the effort you put in WILL be rewarded. And yes, everything gets sore. 😎JG www.jogrn.com

Hi, Make text files (.txt) of each song and simply drop them into the 'Lyrics' folder. Lyric Pad will find them 😄

@@Jogrnarteden48 Thats sorted thanks so much. Read through the manual a few times and cant work a few of the things out. Im new to keyboards and getting going with the pads, mixer, nobs working has been shall we say a ball ache lol. Do you by any chance do quick 1 to 1 tutorials on the keyboard. Ive used fl studios but this is mind blowing lol

@@patrickstone7188 Oh not really no but I would suggest going ahead slowly. Don't try and master everything at once. Get a project going and use the keyboard. There are a lot of things I never use tbh and if they come up I learn them then. Also I write up little reminders on some things (changing key velocity for example) and hang them where I can easily see them. Don't try and use everything just cos it's there. Save the lyric as a 'text file' (.txt) Copy that file into 'LyricPad/Lyrics' folder. (Punctuation etc barely neccessary) 😎

I think that should work but I would check with Nektar. Their instruction manual is very good. It is simply a matter of processor power. USB 2 is the same.

I used mine with a laptop and Ableton Live.

It should (if it has an integration file setup for Synthesia). In my case I just got the one for Reaper on Windows and I'm off to the races.

BTW, I just now fixed the problem by uninstalling, then reinstalling, the program.

Hi 1/ You have to let it go thru its loading process before searching. 2/ The spelling and so forth must be exactly the same. 3/ Check the setup of 'Everything' to make sure it is including your relevant directories. 4/ Uninstall 'Everything', redownload and start again. You may have faulty software. I have never had any problems with it. Good luck 😎

Hi I would get used to the free version first. All little refinements, like scroll speed, will become obvious. I still use version 2 although, for obvious reasons, I haven't used it for a while. 😥

@@Jogrnarteden48 ok Sir, there’s a button in middle of digital display and knobs called PAGE. Above it there’s two indicator lights “default and user”. I unable to use them or turn them on. I think those are for preset control. But I am unable to mapp it by myself. I am flstudio user.Please help,Thanks in advance. 😊😊

Ok 😎 The 3 together are a way of controlling the parameters of any VST instrument FROM THE KEYBOARD. 1/ 'Inst' selected 2/ A working VST Instrument selected on your DAW. 3/ Hold down 'Page' button until either 'Default' or 'User' are illuminated. 'Default' gives you the built in settings. 'User' allows you to change them. Personally I have never used this function so my knowledge is sketchy 😃 Also I had to fiddle about a bit with DAW channel etc to get it to work, but it does. See photo 😎 I hope this helps x

@@lilianprempeh8111 Then, if the restart doesn't help, I would guess something in the midi channel setup. If all is good there try a different usb lead (and port) If none of that maybe the keyboard itself is faulty. Try reading the manual carefully too. I have made terrible mistakes by rushing through manuals 😣 Good luck.
